How to perform an autoscan on a Sony TV

 

NOTE: The steps to perform this procedure may be different depending on your TV model, even if the menu looks similar. ALWAYS refer to the User's Guide for your specific TV for complete information.  

 

1. With your TV powered on press the input button and select the "TV" source, and then press ENTER.

 

2. Press the MENU button to open the Main Menu.

 

3. Use the down arrow buttons and select the Channel portion of the Main Menu, and then press ENTER. Important: If you are not on the TV source the Channel portion of the main menu will be inaccessible (grayed out). 

 

4. Press the down arrow to high light Auto Program.  Push the select button.

 

5. A new screen will appear.  Use the arrow button to high light OK and press select to start the auto programming process.

 

6. The TV will begin to scan for channel, Let the TV complete this process. Note: This process can take 50 minutes or more.
